Kei is one of the main characters in RustBlaster. He is a human, aged 16-17, and serves as Al's weapon. The human transfer student becomes the Holy Lance when his blood is consumed by Aldred. Kei has pure white hair with bangs at the front, although flashbacks reveal that his hair was originally black. Initially quiet and unsocial, he gradually opens up as he gets accustomed to Team 6 and Aldred. Kei views himself as a tool, having been born and raised by the church to be the vessel for the Holy Lance. Each transformation takes a toll on his body, eventually confining him to a wheelchair. He also suffers partial loss of sight and hearing, and loses his ability to write, though he tries to conceal these issues. His lack of physical prowess, evident when he attempts high jump or runs with Aldred, likely stems from spending most of his life locked in a dungeon. Kei has never even seen or tasted cake. He plays a crucial role in preventing Aldred from losing control and holds Aldred in high regard, feeling that the two weeks spent together were the most valuable part of his life. At the end of the manga, Kei survives as Aldred manages to stop the vampires without using the Holy Lance. Despite being confined to a wheelchair, Kei seems to leap out of it at the end when they supposedly see Aldred's back.
