A seemingly ordinary-looking girl attending Seika Girls' School. In reality, she is quite attractive. Karin only appears plain because she wears glasses and doesn't use makeup like other girls do. She is frequently nicknamed "Four Eyes" (or "Glasses-chan" in the Japanese version) due to her eyewear. Initially, she suffers from low self-esteem and struggles to stand up to her so-called friend Yuka or express her true feelings.
Her lack of confidence partly stems from emotional neglect by her parents. Karin once questioned whether her mother even noticed small changes in her appearance, such as switching from glasses to contact lenses. Everyone she meets, except for Kiriya, calls her plain and mocks her, leading her to doubt Kiriya's intentions whenever he compliments her or calls her cute.
Part of her insecurity with Kiriya arises from his reluctance to share his thoughts and emotions with her, nor does he disclose his family problems. Like Kiriya, she has a passion for photography. She eventually becomes friends with Nanri.
