iriya kana
Kana is a transfer student who exhibits minimal social skills and seldom interacts with others. Consequently, most of her classmates dislike her, finding her attitude off-putting and thus avoiding her.
She is humanity's last hope to prevent total annihilation by alien invaders. To save the human race, she is compelled to pilot the "Black Manta," a fighter aircraft that takes a heavy toll on her both mentally and physically.
After meeting Naoyuki, Kana develops a crush on him. Her primary motivation for joining the Newspaper Club is to spend time with him.
