Feeling guilty, Mayu cried for him, and he explained that he was just happy she finally noticed him instead of Shinya, even kissing her forehead. His genuine affection caused the seven-colored drink to appear, helping Mayu realize his true feelings. He asked her out, and Mayu felt she couldn't reject him given his deep love.
