His father's disgrace and subsequent suicide deeply affected Kakashi, leading him to adhere strictly to the rules of the shinobi, prioritizing mission success over comrades' well-being. During a mission, Kakashi lost his left eye protecting Obito, who in turn saved Kakashi by giving him his Sharingan eye before dying.
