Kai is one of the crew members aboard the White Base. Unlike many of his peers, he tends to avoid combat, often displaying cowardice. However, he does enjoy flirting with women. Despite his initial reluctance, Kai eventually finds the courage to become the pilot of the White Base's Guncannon.
Following the One Year War, Kai takes on a new role as a spy for both the AEUG and Karaba forces.
