Known as Irk, he is the morning mist tree spirit who sought Noriko's assistance in rescuing the souls of villagers who once lived in the forest where he resides. Deeply grieved by his friends' fate, he appears as a young boy with silvery white hair and violet eyes. Named after a hero from a story known by his villagers, they called him Irktule in honor of that hero.
In the beginning, Irk was unaware that Noriko and Izark were the Awakening and the Sky Demon; he only knew that one day, a mysterious girl would arrive whom he hoped would hear and respond to his plea for help. He first appeared before Noriko when she was at Gaya's house after soldiers attacked to arrest Lord Jeida and his men. She thought he was a ghost with a sorrowful face.
Irk can usually only be seen by Noriko. Geena is another individual who can communicate with him, along with his villagers. Additionally, Glocia, the daughter of Lord Jeida, seems more sensitive than the average human and can also interact with him. Throughout their journey, Irk and his villagers aided Noriko and Izark by guiding them, providing information from across the continents, warning them, and creating a shield around them to protect them from Rachef's seers’ prying eyes.
