Ichigo and her twin brother Kaede are fashion designers who work under the professional name Koumouto. They hide their real surname and pretend to be 17 years old.
She is straightforward and has a short temper, easily getting irritated when people, especially Naka, cry instead of facing their problems head-on. She often angrily tells them to stop whining and start moving forward. However, she deeply cares for her friends. Her relationship with Umi is a mix of love and hate, as they constantly insult each other but also help and trust one another.
When Ichigo meets Chihiro, she quickly realizes that his constant smile is often just a facade, masking his pain from unrequited love. After yelling at him several times for his fake happiness and talking with him during his genuinely happy moments, she falls in love with him.
Although she gives good advice to Naka about Umi, when she realizes her feelings for Chihiro, she initially breaks down and cries until Naka talks to her. Afterwards, she pulls herself together and can talk normally with him. However, she starts to feel inferior compared to the beautiful models around her, especially Mihane, whom Chihiro loves, because she considers herself average and small.
When Chihiro confesses to Mihane and gets rejected, he wants to spend time with Ichigo to thank her. When Ichigo asks him to call her "Ichigo" instead of "I-chan" for a day and he complies, her reaction reveals her feelings to him, which he notices.
After discovering her feelings, Ichigo tries to act normal, and so does Chihiro, though it's painful for her. She decides to confess properly, even though he already knows how she feels. To her surprise, Chihiro is thankful but doesn't seem to share the same feelings.
When Ichigo hugs him while taking his measurements for a fashion show, she distances herself from him. Chihiro begins to realize his growing feelings for Ichigo, especially when she starts avoiding him and he feels jealous seeing her talk to another guy.
Seeing Naka bravely go on stage during a thunderstorm despite her fear, Ichigo, ashamed of her own cowardice, runs to Chihiro. He smiles happily and hugs her immediately.
Three years later, they are still dating, and Ichigo still blushes when he kisses her, saying she will never get used to it.
