Hideo is a Parasite inhabiting a teenager's body who chooses to integrate into human society. He enrolls in Shinichi's high school and expresses an interest in becoming friends with Shinichi, though Shinichi remains distrustful. Despite being a relatively peaceful Parasite, Hideo has no hesitation in brutally attacking or even killing bullies who provoke him. He continues to hunt humans, although he claims he is attempting to adapt to eating regular food.
His life comes to an end when Shinichi and Migi kill him after another student uncovers his secret and confronts him, leading Hideo to embark on a murderous rampage.
