Hayate is one of Lisa's attendants. Though he makes only a few appearances in the manga, in the anime, he forms a strong rivalry and friendship with Tomoka, occasionally engaging in friendly duels. Hayate is calm, loyal, and serious, always ready to go to great lengths for his mistress, Lisa, often involving himself in research or private investigations. Tomoka calls him "ninja" due to his stealthy nature, only revealing himself when attending to Lisa or launching an attack.
