urabe hanji

In elementary school, Urabe was Ishizaki's rival. He was selected to join Nankatsu SC's team. His arrogant demeanor led him to shout at his teammates in a humorous manner, much like Ishizaki. During middle school, Urabe became the Captain of Otomo's soccer team. Together with Takeshi Kishida, Masao Nakayama, and Koji Nishio, they formed the "Otomo Quartet". In Captain Tsubasa World Youth, he was part of Nankatsu High School's team. He informed his teammates that he intended to stop playing soccer after graduation to assist his family in running their tofu store. However, Coach Gamo persuaded him to join the R.J.7, a training team for All Japan Youth. Taking on the role of the antagonist, the intense training he underwent helped him improve significantly. Alongside other members of the R.J.7, they defeated most of the members of All Japan Youth. The truth was revealed to everyone after the first round of the Asian preliminaries; Urabe's true intention was to strengthen the All Japan Youth team. He joined the All Japan Youth team following Misaki's serious injury. He participated in the final match against Brazil to replace Ishizaki, and ultimately decided to continue playing soccer. In Road to 2002, Urabe joined Jubilo Iwata alongside Ishizaki.
