She is often seen hanging out with Shinagawa, a delinquent. On the surface, she appears to be the epitome of a responsible, respectful, and bespectacled class representative. However, there is more to her than meets the eye. In reality, Adachi is not an excellent student; she struggles academically, is absent-minded, oblivious, and lacks common sense. Interestingly, she has great eyesight; her glasses do not serve any corrective purpose. She frequently forgets things, including people she has met before. Despite these shortcomings, her strength and fighting skills, remnants from her days as a former delinquent, are noteworthy. Adachi lives with her eccentric grandmother. Similar to Adachi, her younger sister also harbors feelings for Shinagawa and chooses to cut her hair to differentiate herself from her older sister. Additionally, Adachi's brother ran away from home to be with her, much like Rinka, but was instructed by Adachi to live with Shinagawa instead. He is a genius who pretends to be a yankee.
