The Qwaser of Gold, who is the leader of the Adepts and whose true face has never been revealed. His only genuine appearance in the story occurs through possessing Tomo by using a "golden nail" implanted somewhere in her chest. This nail continuously drains her Soma and strengthens the Qwaser himself. He was responsible for the death of Sasha's older sister Olja and apparently exploited Sasha's anger towards him to set up an elaborate Xanatos Gambit spanning years. His ultimate goal was to later use a large-breasted Japanese schoolgirl to obtain the Blade of Maria through a special Faberge Egg and harness its power to reshape the world according to his vision. There are hints in both the anime and manga that suggest this Qwaser might actually be a Catholic cardinal named Gregori.
