He is Hikojirou's grandfather and the founder of Kaburagi Antiques. He managed the store for some time before entrusting it to his grandson so he could travel the world. He has a special affection for Hisako, often giving her small gifts to lift her spirits when she faced harassment at her previous job. It was he who offered her the position of shop assistant at Kaburagi Antiques, and she affectionately calls him "grandfather".
