Fumino is a 16-year-old girl at Kumaneko High School. Though she's labeled as a delinquent, this isn't the case. She intervenes with bullies and misbehaving students in aggressive manners. She possesses a robust personality and can have a short fuse. Fumino holds deep affection for her brother Teppei. After losing their parents in a car accident, she took on the responsibility of caring for her younger brother. Consequently, she matured faster and became more pragmatic compared to her peers. Despite this, cooking isn't her strong suit, so she depends on Ojiro to prepare meals for her and Teppei. Nonetheless, when Kazuma had a high fever, she made some porridge with spring onions for him. While tending to him while wearing a mask, he mentioned that no one would come near him when he was sick to avoid catching it. During this time, he kissed Fumino through the mask. However, once he recovered, he didn't recall what transpired. Secretly, she worked for two weeks in one of Retsu's construction sites (cleaning floors) to earn money for Kazuma's birthday gift. She bought him a green necktie. According to chapter 17, during her first year, Fumino spent all her class time sleeping, leading other students to view her as a poor student. Now, she excels academically but struggles slightly with English. Kazuma refers to her as "Fumino-san." He is very protective of her and dislikes seeing other men approach her closely.
