At first, she didn't like Asuna because of Asuna's Zeon background. However, they overcame their differences and became best friends. They live in the same dorm, where she is Asuna's roommate.
She helps Asuna by training with her in the mornings. She also gently encourages Asuna to pursue her first love, Shinn. Emilu is a hardworking sweetheart with maternal qualities.
Though she appears to be a carefree girl, she lost her parents in the One Year War, after which her siblings were separated. She enrolled in École du Ciel hoping to reunite her family again someday.
Despite looking young, she is actually older than Asuna.
