Born in Zeon, she joined the academy with the goal of becoming a mobile suit pilot, leveraging her father's popularity within the scientific community. However, due to memories of the old war with Zeon and her own timid nature, lack of ambition, clumsiness, and dreamy disposition, some of her peers are unfriendly towards her, and she struggles to achieve results at the academy. This makes her father's shadow loom ever larger over her, much like an "ugly duckling" that has yet to transform into a "swan" and sees no issue in remaining as such, as mentioned in the early pages of the manga.
Nevertheless, she is determined to improve her skills and uncover her true worth, even surprising everyone with unexpected abilities.
