Elder Toguro is the older sibling of the Toguro Brothers. Despite his diminutive size, he typically rides on Younger Toguro's shoulder instead of walking. He is notably more unpleasant than his younger brother and has a knack for provoking the usually composed Younger Toguro. His primary goal in the tournament was to eliminate every member of Team Urameshi as well as their friends. In the second Character Popularity Polls in Japan, he ranked 11th with 421 votes.
Elder Toguro, along with his brother and Genkai, constructed a dojo together. Following Kairen's attack, the trio entered the Dark Tournament. After emerging victorious, both brothers wished to become demons. Subsequently, they became servants of Sakyo.
Elder Toguro's main ability revolves around body manipulation, allowing him to alter the shape and location of his organs. He can transform parts of his body into various weapons for his brother, such as swords or spears. He can create drills from his fingers, swords from his arms, and even form miniature "puppets" by transforming his arm into tiny humanoids. Additionally, he possesses powerful regenerative abilities, enabling him to reform after being severed and achieving a form of basic immortality.
Elder Toguro first appeared alongside his brother under Gonzo's leadership. During their fight against Kuwabara and Yusuke, Elder Toguro took the form of a sword for his brother. After that, he only made a few background appearances until the final round.
