Ebisu is a highly skilled Jounin tutor and also serves as the personal instructor to Konohamaru, the grandson of the Third Hokage.
Initially, like many villagers, Ebisu viewed Naruto as the Kyuubi incarnate. However, over time, Naruto's dedication and hard work earned Ebisu's respect. He eventually recognized that Naruto could indeed be a positive role model for Konohamaru.
