diavolo

Diavolo, the primary antagonist of Part 5, was born in a female prison. His origin is shrouded in mystery because his mother claimed he was conceived two years before her incarceration, and all the guards were women. Diavolo was raised by a priest in his mother's hometown of Sardinia, as she could not raise him while imprisoned. When Diavolo turned 19, the priest, who was building an apartment for him, discovered Diavolo's mother buried alive under a stone slab. Around the same time, a fire broke out, and both the priest and Diavolo were reported among the seven fatalities. However, Diavolo survived and soon joined Passione. During this period, Diavolo retrieved the bow and six Arrows from Egypt and quickly fled with them. He then sold five of the Arrows to Enya Geil, keeping one for himself (the same arrow later attached to Polpo's Black Sabbath). Between Stardust Crusaders and Golden Wind, Diavolo embarked on a mission to eliminate all his blood relatives and anyone who discovered his identity, ensuring his name would be erased from existence. During his time in Passione, he adopted the pseudonym Soliddo Nazo. The name "Diavolo" means "devil" in Italian, fitting given his malevolent personality and role as the main antagonist of Part 5. ### Stand King Crimson—A light red humanoid with a smaller copy of its face on its forehead, reflecting Diavolo's psyche. King Crimson has the power to predict up to ten seconds into the future and "erase time," effectively causing a time skip. This ability changes everything except itself and Diavolo to the state they would have been in a short time later (usually 3–10 seconds). Time still flows normally for Diavolo, allowing him to interact or choose not to interact with the time-skipped objects for the intervening duration. To Diavolo, this appears as multiple states of objects superimposed on each other, similar to Nude Descending a Staircase. For example, if a bullet is predicted to hit him, he can erase the time it would have struck, making the bullet appear on the opposite side where it would be seconds later.
