kouga danjo

Grandfather to Gennosuke and leader of the Kouga clan, Danjo is highly revered and respected by his people. In his youth, Danjo fell in love with Ogen, the heir of the Iga clan. However, when orders came to eliminate the Iga, Ogen believed Danjo had betrayed her. Their once innocent bond quickly turned into bitter hatred. Years later, they observe as their elite ninjas showcase the might of each clan, hoping this demonstration will impress Lord Ieyasu and persuade Hattori Hanzo to lift the peace treaty that prevents bloodshed between rivals.

But the outcome had already been predetermined. The Kouga and the Iga clans are set to battle to the death to determine the third Tokugawa Shogun. Scrolls containing the names of ten ninjas from each clan have been prepared. The first clan to eliminate all ten ninjas will secure the next seat of power. With old flames reignited, there's no turning back, and one clan must destroy the other.
