Chaton is a cheerful and powerful kitty girl, the strongest among the Bishops. Her happiness can sometimes be overwhelming, even to the point of annoyance. She harbors a comical yet serious crush on Alan, which he finds distasteful because, ironically, despite his appearance, Alan has a severe fear of cats inherited from Edward. Chaton is a good friend with Loco, though she often irritates Loco. Despite this, Chaton genuinely cares for Loco and always looks out for her well-being.
Chaton makes her first appearance in the 6th Round of the War Games, surprising Alan when she reveals herself by removing her hooded robe. She swiftly defeats Alan, who initially mistook her for a Knight, due to his cat phobia. During Halloween's battle with Alan, Chaton and Loco argue about who will win while watching from a castle balcony. When Ginta introduces Puss in Boots during his battle with Phantom, Chaton comments that it is "the greatest Guardian ever," making her the only one to take it seriously.
In the anime, after the War Games conclude, Chaton and Loco are captured by the Ghost Chess along with Team MÄR while traveling through the desert. Working together, they manage to escape, but Loco's excessive use of Darkness ÄRM reverts her into a baby. Chaton quickly takes on the role of caregiver for Loco. Later, she witnesses Alan's tragic death at King's hands, which horrifies her. In Alan's final moments, he gives Chaton his earring, and she sets out to find other Chess Piece members to learn King's whereabouts. After King's defeat, Chaton lives with Alan and Babbo, helping to care for Loco. She uses cat-themed ÄRMs.
