Bright is the leader of the White Base crew during the One Year War. Though he had various opinions about the war, he seldom voiced them due to his lower rank. He frequently looks after Amuro and assists him in making the right decisions.
Later, Bright commands the AEUG carrier Argama, fighting against the Titans in the Gryps conflict.
After the final battle with Neo Zeon, Bright returns to the Federation and becomes the commander of the Londo Bell forces.
