Tojou's eyes are normally closed unless he experiences surprise or emotional distress. When they do open, the whites of his eyes are black, and his pupils glow in eerie shades of green, blue, or red. He has a peculiar habit of beating a raw, unbroken egg yolk over his rice at meals. This was shown when the egg yolk broke, causing him to fly into an uncharacteristic rage.
