Before the Rune Angel Troupe
Anise was born into the Azeat family, a renowned family of treasure hunters on planet Azeat. They were friends with the Seldor royal family, and as such, Anise met King Soldum Seldor once when she was very young, though she doesn't recall the event. A downturn in the treasure hunting business caused many former Azeat family associates to turn to piracy. Even Anise occasionally engaged in piracy, but her pride as a treasure hunter compelled her to do so honorably.
Her first encounter with the Luxiole happened in TCY 417, when she tried to make them surrender their valuables. She was swiftly defeated by Second Lieutenant Kazuya Shiranami during his first sortie, and the damage to her ship necessitated acquiring a new one. She contacted the Blancmanche Conglomerate for a replacement, and Mint Blancmanche, noting her distinguished heritage, provided her a loan and sold her an EDEN-model supply ship. Later, Dieta offered her a substantial sum to steal Brave Heart from the Luxiole. Intrigued by the challenge and potential profit, and curious about how Brave Heart would enhance her Emblem Frame Relic Raider, she agreed.
Upon learning that the Luxiole was scheduled to meet a Blancmanche supply ship for resupply, she disguised her vessel as one and intercepted the Luxiole. Caught off guard, Anise managed to disable the Luxiole's engines and steal Brave Heart. However, when she hesitated to hand over Brave Heart to Dieta, and the Luxiole arrived with Mint's assistance, Dieta destroyed her new ship in an attempt to destroy Brave Heart. Once again seeking help from Mint, she requested another ship to repay her debt. Instead, Mint suggested she join the Rune Angel Troupe to work off her debt since NEUE needed capable pilots like her. Thus, Anise joined as a temporary member.
Service in the Rune Angel Troupe
Anise eventually fulfilled her contract with Mint by defending the Blancmanche Conglomerate's Department Store Ship, gaining the freedom to leave the Luxiole. Nevertheless, she had grown fond of the Rune Angel Troupe and chose to officially enlist, joining as a Second Lieutenant.
