Ana is an eleven-year-old girl who originally came from Cornwall, England, five years prior to the series. However, she seems to have forgotten how to speak English. Initially, she pretends to only know English, but Matsuri soon discovers her speaking very polite Japanese. Matsuri then tries to help her relearn English. Ana is often teased by Miu due to her name, Ana Coppola, which can be written in kanji to mean "hole," "bone," and "cave" (穴骨洞). Miu nicknames her "Coppola-chan," much to Ana's dismay. Ana's personality, reflected in her traditionally feminine and polite way of speaking Japanese, contrasts with her struggle with the English language.
