Alternate is the son of Gordy (Gody), a member of the Syndicate. Alternate, a supposed mastermind, met Mingchao while disguised as a train conductor, with plans to steal the Eto Gun during their train journey. After his father's death, Blush convinces him that Mingchao was responsible, leading Alternate to attempt joining the Syndicate to seek revenge. However, upon discovering that Blush actually killed his father, he shifts his plan to get revenge on Blush and, by extension, the Syndicate. He tentatively joins Mingchao’s group and eventually becomes a close ally. Source: manga
