A cop who kept showing up every time the police were summoned, he admired Tsukasa's father, Kozuki Yutaka, and resolved to become a police officer after their encounter. At one point, he feared he might be gay because he found Tsukasa attractive before discovering that Tsukasa was actually a woman disguised as a man.
Akira harbors intense hatred for the yakuza, particularly the Kuryugumi clan, whom he believes are responsible for Kozuki Yutaka's demise. It was revealed that he had been abandoned by his parents and grew up in an orphanage, bearing a serial number as his name. He is also part of the GRAVE division within the Control Police. His partner is Kai Munakata, whom he initially finds disagreeable. Akira is among the few individuals aware that Tsukasa is female and holds an interest in her despite the significant age gap. He regards Ryuji as a rival, and the latter often becomes envious of Akira.
