What an ending to the Yoshioka arc with Mushasi running away. I wonder where the story will take him now now that he can't walk properly but now has a different outlook on life.
A beautiful culmination of the story by far, Masashi has developed immensely despite where he had started off in the story. I hope his journey is not cut short. Hearing about his leg shook me deeply. But I have hope for the future.
Seeing Musashi being so dead set on being invincible is the main theme of this manga. As shallow as that sounds it just so happens that Musashi feels drawn to it. Maybe it's due to his history of fighting to be the best that he's in too deep to not go down the "normal path" that Takuan suggested to him. I hope that he is humbled so that he can see that his desires were unattainable in the grand scheme of things and that his teachings when he's older can truly help people.
