hoooooly shit that was pretty insane, i half expected matahachi or kojiro to make an appearance and back him up or something... but no he doesn't even need them!

The yoshioka clan are utterly embarassing, no wonder they got topped by yagyu clan and couldnt keep up with japan's technological development. I really liked them but jesus. Ueda led 69 incompetent men to their deaths. It felt like Musashi was slicing down cardboard cutouts at some point. Hardly any coordination nor teamwork by the yoshioka. A 1v70 should not feel like consecutive 1v1's or 2v1's. Fuckers got too cocky with their numbers, fortunately Yoichi had a brain. Too bad he got his neck snapped in a single panel lmao, I still liked Ueda and kuranda's plan by getting an opportunity from playing dead though



The fight was hype at first, felt like some berserk type shit. However, it became more exhaustive and depressing as it went on, especially when the mutilated men were either begging to be killed or pleading for their sons during ch 239. It went to show that each one of these men had their own lives and shit, and weren't just cardboard cutouts after all. Seriously, binging this fight feels like the proper way to read it somehow. You get to feel just as exhausted as Musashi was near the end lmfao.
