I stumbled about this manga by coincidence when I saw artwork of it this morning. Reminded me of Slam Dunk and then I saw it's the same author. Got me to read pretty quickly.
I like how Nomiya has this nice side, his comedy moments remind me of Sakuragi. On the other site Togawa also reminds me a bit of Sakuragi because of his red hair.
My first thought was that he's Kiyoharu Hyodo from "Ballroom e youkoso" who's already a favorite character of mine and this Hyodo already seems just as likable to me!
Really strong beginning, Inoue sensei didn't waste any time / panels in this one!
I'm eager to see how Inoue sensei will overdo himself again!
He sure left his mark,lol.AlexSadist-sama said: nice balance of funny and serious moments.Agreed, this series is going to go in deep, can already tell it's going to be great/I'm really going to enjoy this.
Nomiya's kind of an obnoxious douche and a huge weirdo but at least he's not irredeemably unlikable. He might be a dumbass but he knows that he is one and he's trying his best to not let it get to him. The guy's a delinquent who wanted to live life to the fullest but he got into a reckless accident and even dragged a complete stranger into it, disabling her and pretty much making her selectively mute as well.
Taking the girl off her wheelchair to play against a guy in a wheelchair who's actually beating him in his own game was ridiculous of him to do but it awakened a passion for the sport in the girl.
