Shou's pretty observant to be the first one to notice the chalk moving, that'll probably be a trait that he often lives up to.
I was wondering if Sakippe would be the love interest and when she ran out behind Shou claiming she's coming because she's the female rep I knew it had to be the case. The way he told her he won't help her and even left her behind once she collapsed on the floor in shock makes me think this is one of places he may grow up in. He'll probably learn to care about people other than himself. They have a cute and typical child relationship where both wants to call each other gross and one bullies the other.
When the teacher dropped the "You can never panic, no matter what happens, all right? Or else you lose your common sense" line, I knew it was going to apply right away. It may be something that the characters in this manga should hold near and dear to their heart for this absurd situation.
Speaking of this absurd situation the reveal of the Shou telling the kids what's going on, running to the roof, the other kids in shock from the next class seeing out the window, and the zoom out from the roof was great. Talk about a reveal. I didn't know what to expect but nothing but sand and rocks is quite a good way to do it.
