Absolute mastermind. Of all the sappy things I've teared up with having to do with Japan anime and manga this is the least sappy overall but most deserving of tears

KUMETA NO BAKA!!!!! WTF?!

What is Kafuka? A human, an angel or a shared personality? Need to read previus chapters! Organ transplant? She die and her spirit appears again in weeding dress? WTF???

What a crazy ending. I was slightly spoiled but damn, I was not expecting this to be the ending.

A good ending aside, the manga as a whole hasn't left me very impressed. It was funny in the beginning but it gets tiring to get through it after the first 50 chapters. There are occasional moments in between but like a lot of long-running gag manga, it just can't maintain it's enjoyment throughout it's run.

I will give this though, it is very well written. A biting insight into Japanese society and sometimes even the rest of the world. 5/10.

And i thought that the op and ed had nothing to do with the actual plot of the manga...

Such a great end for this manga.

Holy fuck. It is a travesty that the anime never got to adapt the final volume. I'm still in shock. I'm going insane from this. M-maybe after all the money Shaft makes from the new Madoka movie they'll get to make season 4.... *huffs copium* A-and also more Monogatari..... *dies from overdose*

I just finished the anime, and went onto reading the manga, I skipped a few chapters though, but it didn't make much of a difference. ANYWAY, I just read chapter 300-301. And that ending just blew me away. Everything makes sense now, I like how everything is tied together. After getting my mind f*cked and damaged for a couple of days, I felt like I needed to vent out some despair. Teehee. Im relatively new to the forums, sorry.

SPOILERS:
We soon find out that Kafuka, Nozumo's love interest, had died before the events of SZS, and that her organs were transplanted to several girls, what a coincidence that the girls from the school got the organs. Now Kafuka, a roaming spirit possessing girls with her organs, is living amongst them and with Nozumo. All the girls with her organs and Nozumo apparently can see Kafuka when she is possessing a girl. By the end, Nozumo is recycling through marriages and divorces, because although it may seem he has many wives, he only has TRUE one, Kafuka.

Well that's my interpretation of it anyway, not sure if its entirely accurate.

Anyway, what are your guys thoughts on these strange turn of events.

Mod Note: Merged from general manga discussion. Spoiler tags added.

Im fairly sure that the Kafuka in the church is actually Jun Kudou since he also had a blood transplant and if you look carefully you can tell that the Kafuka in the church is wearing a cross and the person who was heading to the church beforehand (i believe this is implied otherwise why would Jun Kudou appear at all in the last chapter?) was Jun.

I have no idea why, but not a lot of people want to accept that it's Jun in the church; a couple of people label anyone that believes that it's Jun as a yaoi fangirl.

Kafuka possessing Jun has nothing to do with NozomuxJun though; even if Jun is being possessed, Nozomu sees Kafuka, so it doesn't really matter WHO Kafuka is possessing.

What's worse is that most that deny that it's Jun pull out these reasons why it's not Jun but not one of them is valid.

A good storyteller isn't going to have Jun say that he attempted suicide and had to get a blood transfusion (the same conditions as the girls) just to have it there.

I'm glad I'm not crazy for still thinking that the Kafuka in the church is possessing Jun.
