Akira Chapter 34 Discussion

[I am reading the DarkHorse issue of Akira. Here 120 chapters are converted into 38 parts. And the sequence of event is mixed up to match the new format. So, I know how many chapters I have read but do not know what part belong to which chapter.]



So, Akira didn't just came back and started showing extremely incomprehensible power like I expected. He behave like a confused child even though he is claimed to be as powerful as a nuclear strategic nuclear missile and sometime even stronger. I really love the whole sequence of the military retreating from the coolant blast because it conveyed proper panic. But the real prize of these chapters was the SOL strikes. It was so beautifully drawn and more devastating than it was in the movie. The panel of Tetsuo screaming in pain for losing his hand while everything is burning around him was truly artistic.
