[I am reading the DarkHorse issue of Akira. Here 120 chapters are converted into 38 parts. And the sequence of event is mixed up to match the new format. So, I know how many chapters I have read but do not know what part belong to which chapter.]



So, Tetsuo is finally going to meet Akira. But considering this is just 28 chapters there is still a lot that is going to happen. Because the movie made be believed that he finally meet Akira near the end. Not after 1/5 story is completed; I wonder as to what Katsuhiro Otome will do.

oh yeah that, for me the event is ok. But it give the story a leap jump to another level. like the aftermath of that event is what crazy about AkiraThis mean next chapters will be really good no doubt.

Yeah, fell in love with the movie, but the manga way crazier

The movie is a bit of a Frankensteins monster. it was made while the manga was still being worked on. So it has some elements of the start of the manga and where Otomo imagined it would go.
