Kikyou proves to be a complex youkai, perhaps because she has a singular goal, that of seeking revenge on InuYasha. The problem is whether there is any reason within her. She easily gains the trust of people, but is she aware of what she's doing? When she says she needs to leave, it shows there might be some rationale within her. Does she have the power to stan the Shikon Jewel? The encounter between her and InuYasha is likely to happen in the next chapter.
