Maison Ikkoku Chapter 1 Discussion

So in the manga, Yuusaku doesn't start as a ronin but rather a flunking student. That's intriguing.



Edit: Apparently it was a matter of translation. The older release skipped some chapters when Godai was a ronin.

Been a while since I watched the anime. One of my favourite romantic slice of life stories, now in manga!

It's a different experience; the art certainly is somewhat different from the anime.

I've heard the manga's better than the anime (which had a few problems of its own). Time would tell that.

Oh well, a pretty solid start.

                        Well, I'm finally giving one of my all time favorite anime a go in manga form and so far I'm liking it. The art is very different, though, and that was kind of surprising. It may change going forward into what I'm familiar with or perhaps the anime just had a different more streamlined style, I don't know.



Anyway, I'm looking forward to this. I hear that this is even better than the already excellent manga.
