Interesting chapter. I love the mystery surrounding Boogiepop as a character, however that's where the intrigue currently ends. Boogiepop feels completely detached from the storyline, the setting and other characters altogether. Going as far as to comment that Boogiepop is the only entertaining aspect of the manga so far.
Appreciate that Boogiepop looks at humanity as a whole in terms of dreams and accomplishments. His demonstration being how he comforted a struggling homeless man. Which inspired Miyashita to take notice. Ergo, when people stop encouraging one another, than the world is truly lost. This conversation leaves the impression that those who have yet to discover their purpose in life can still motivate others to. Suggesting that this hopeful cycle is good enough reason to protect.
