Perfect way to pull the ending off. I think rather than Hayate regretting letting her go, he was regretting that he couldn't seriously love her.

No more Ruka, I guess. It would be the end of his butler days if he married Ruka.

Not entirely a happy ending but... it was a satisfying one.

I feel sad for ruka..for a moment I became a fan of ruka in this chapter...Too much feelings there....That's some way of ending!....Heartbroken news for Ruka fans of course....everyon was expecting a kiss or direct proposal....None of these happened..as expected from the unexpected hata!..I am sure that's not the end of Ruka...She may return in future....
