I loved the music in the anime during this scene.

Poor Asuka. Interesting that Shinji wasn't allowed to take part in the battle. Probably cause his Eva would be uncontrollable given the fact that it 'awoke'.

You been reading the same manga I have? She wasn't in the last volume much, but other than that she's been a pretty constant presence in the manga. And, the music was awesome in the anime.



And, so it begins. The manga's take on the infamous mind rape scene. I like how Shinji got angry at Kaworu's "interesting" line.
