Awwww does Toji know? That is so cute

It wasn't until the Rebuild movies (which I after the original series) that I realized the angel infected the Eva in the clouds. The way they transported it, leaving it all exposed, doesn't seem like the best idea. But anyway, I didn't like Toji at first, but after these recent chapters, i've started to like him more. More than in the anime, that's for sure. And now.....

Oh dear Shinji's about to be scarred for life

Shit, part of me irrationally hoped this wouldn't happen in this version. But, it apparently is happening.



Anyway, there was a sense of foreboding throughout this chapter. It felt as though Toji felt it, though that was most likely him just being nervous about getting in an Eva for the first time (btw, 03 has a great design. Probably my favorite look aside from maybe 02). I feel sorry for Hikari as well, yes she isn't actually piloting the damn thing, but she was so happy when she met Shinji.

I wonder if Sadamoto kills of Toji, like Anno intended to, but wasn't allowed to show a kid dying on TV
