Annoyed that Manaka stayed behind. I thought she would have went with them given her affection to Akane but I guess she has a connection to Okinawa. I can see her being out of the picture for a while though and then reintroduced during the final battle. I hope this manga doesn't take such a cliche twist. Also... GRAMPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm still mourning here, he was a legend.

Excel and Steiner, I'm pretty sure aren't dead. Their role so far isn't enough to compensate for the time on their introductions, so I'm pretty sure we'll see them again.
Shame he slapped back the TNO's offer, but I guess that's just his style, so now that he has finished saying his goodbyes I wonder what is in store for them now.
