Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi Chapter 583 Discussion

Wow... that was a terrible way to end such a wonderful series.



It's sad how this was one of the few long Mangas I was reading which didn't make me think "please just lay it to rest already instead of trying to force twists / new arcs" but was the one to abruptly end.



Maybe the fanbase dwindled down to the point that the author tried to add more fanservice (unexplainable amount of Shigure nude scenes during that last battle) and when that failed to generate income, just decided to end the series?



Oh well, it was a good ride. :(

There were times I thoroughly enjoyed this series, there were times I thought this series was getting stale, and there's this bad awful aftertaste by the rushed final arc that was kind of poor which was probably due to getting it axed?  Well that's my guess  since it's no secret this series was never in the list of best selling manga series of the year.  



Series peaked at the D of D tournament final for me.  Will miss it slightly though.  Since I still wanted to see some characters get more fleshed out, like Chikage, was looking forward to their duel kind of.  And wanted to see Kenichi really hit master level.  All in all going with a 6-7, probably leaning more to the 6 with how repetitive it got, and him never making any real strides, constantly being in Miu's shadow.  



Chapter itself, don't really see the need to blank out the face of who he got with.  The child made it pretty obvious it was Miu which was always the obvious choice.  And wasn't she wearing Miu's hairpin?   Though I would of had went with Shigure!

Even though the ending was rushed a bit... It's been a good read. Enjoyed all of the epic fights + can't forget about 'em fan service ;)

Kenichi married Miu because if you look at the picture of the kid it looks like Miu and you can see Kenichi hand and Miu outfit. So she must be the mother and wife. Also if you look at the wedding picture you can see a little of Kenichi's wifes hair and it is the same color as Miu.



All in all the ending was okay but  he should have gave us a way better more longer ending.

this manga was one of the first i read... im gonna miss it

is that really Miu on the last page it seems that her hair gone short at that wedding picture ,

but that kid really looks like Miu  

hope they end up being together :)

It was a little bit a fast ending...because of the last chapter..Kenichi said ; but ill save that story for another time..i think there was a big chance to continue this manga..😁😁😁

It started slow became an awesome ride and ended abruptly.The last few chapters could have had a bit more romance angle and less fan service.Seriously the fan service(like panty shots) just started out of nowhere if you take a look at the first few volumes there was hardly any ecchi scenes and then all of a sudden it's filled with it.
