The Quick Transmigration of the Supporting Female Lead: Everything Goes as She Wishes Chapter 176 Discussion

Story: 2 out 5 stars.

In one of the story arcs, OML divorces OO and marries OFL. To punish them, MC drugs OML so that he has premature ejaculation and OFL so that she is extremely fertile. OFL keeps having triplets and the author goes in detail about how pregnancy ravages her body. After the first triplets, OFL doesn't want to have children anymore, but the doctor says it will be worse for her body if she aborts. The body horror is too much for me, and its cruel to have children born to a mother that hates them.

While its wrong to have an affair with a married man, MC's revenge is way too harsh on OFL, and she's dragging innocent babies into this.

Except for the first arc, in each of the other story arcs that I have read so far, the female cannon fodder's lives are much worse than the OML, even though OML did worse things to OO. Its pretty common for webnovel authors to have these uneven endings, but I find the author's choice very unsatisfying.

Overall, while MC pursues a different business in every world, it doesn't add much to the story. Except for the first world, she achieves instant success without any planning in every business. The author devotes most of the word count praising MC's beauty, having people fawning over her miraculous products, and entitled people trying to get her products for free. And also a dash of this "I don't like some of the generalizations this novel makes like women is this women is that. I've seen this phenomenon in other Chinese novels as well and I dislike it." - from Blithe's review.

It would have been very interesting to read MC learning how to act human. The selling point of the story is that she's a space beast, but there's never any moment when she behaves or thinks in a way that an ordinary human with supernatural strength and a pocket space full of treasures wouldn't. She chases after any guy that catches her eye and has no worries how other people view her.

Translation: 5 of out 5 stars. Inky Dragon Translations puts a lot effort into their translations. I like their supplemental pictures and thoughts on the characters. I also like how they put the first and last chapter number for each story arc at the beginning of each chapter, so its easy to skip to a new story arc if you don't like the current one. I think it detracts from the reader experience to put a translation note for every single character's name right when they first appear. It would better to put those notes at the end of the chapter.
