The advice I have for those interested in reading this is not to compare this novel and the description it gives to what usually happens in novels that have a similar setting. In all honesty, I had given up on this novel once I found out how few chapters it had and still seemed to be going nowhere... or at least no where I expected. But I went back, and I’m so glad I did. While I am not yet finished, and who knows I might change my opinion the more I read, the complexity of this novel is really refreshing. This is cosmic horror, you need to remember that. This is not a typical regression novel where the MC will transmigrate into a weak character and get really strong, gaining recognition. No, the character will continue to use the ability that got him in the whole transmigrating mess in the first place, his tongue and his mind. This novel is more of a mind game than anything, and a lot of events that happen in the story happen almost “off camera”, so you as a reader need to use context clues to figure out when those moments happen. Although you’re still lacking what really happened. This is “unreliable narrator” at its finest. While I’m saying all this, you just have to judge for yourself. Idk about you guys but I’m desperate for these types of novels, so I read anything I can get, and this one was really cool and intriguing to me. While I found myself thinking it was shallow at some points, I think I was just prebiased because the story wasn’t unfolding the way I wanted it to (from past knowledge on how these types of novels really flow). So, try it out.Plus, the translation is really good, so thank you.
