TS Medic’s Battlefield Diary Chapter v85 Discussion

In short, Good. Very very good.

Lots of complaints about the unnecessary TS elements and reincarnation. I used to think that way as well but the reincarnation element honestly has a really nice payoff in the future volumes in really well written ways. The TS part is still unnecessary but its such a small detail that I can't find reason to give it any care. Here is a review that focuses more on the important stuff.

This is a story with lots of heartbreak, lots of depression, and very little hope. Poor little Touri has to fight in a war as an insignificant little medic and is constantly experiencing loss and despair. But even through that, irreplaceable bonds are being formed and life is being lived, as desperate and difficult as it is in the front lines. There's something horribly sad but equally beautiful about that. It's a story that makes you feel many things by masterfully weaving tragedy and heartfelt warmth. A certain moment from the end of volume 4 absolutely violated my emotions. I'll never recover from that damage. 10/10.

THEY DESERVE TO BE HAPPY

[collapse]

There's no issues with characters and their respective development. From the main character to the lovely band of soldiers whose fates are intertwined. The author is very good at crafting characters. Certain individuals that you despise in the beginning get the development they deserve to become memorable and relevant even after they are long gone. Characters that start great become even better or more complex with time. Especially the MC. I adore all of them. Great stuff. They all deserve to be happy and loved.

I'm not really great at following war plots or political plans, but I had a great time with this war. Things HAPPEN and escalate very quick and I love that. It's not a slow burn plot which would still totally work for this kind of story. I'm not nearly knowledgeable enough about war to know if what is happening is realistic (Apart from a play from a certain bordering nation that even I definitionally knew was a head scratcher), but even though I usually don't enjoy this kind of genre, I'm having a blast with this one. I'm always interested to find out what happens next in the war.

Give this a shot. Even if you hate TS. Even if you hate war stories. Even if you want the main character to be a cheat soldier who can solo end the war. And if you dropped this somewhere in the first volume, I suggest you to give it another shot. The first arc is noticeably the weakest arc. I hate to say that "it gets good trust bro" but it really does.

This story is worth your time.

And the cherry on top, translation is very good. Solid work from multiple people or so I've heard. I hope this hard work carries to the end of the story, which is getting very close.

Will continued to stayed tuned till the bitter end.
