A loose collection of stories about the same character dully fighting without any opportunity to have a personality. He has plenty of reason to have a personality, he just doesn't ever use it.Here's the whole novel:Spoiler
1. MC shows up
2. Meets some new person in a city
3. Gets mixed up in drama he (or the reader) has no reason to be invested in
4. MC overpowers the villian who is inexplicably linked to some bigger threat
5. Rinse and repeat.

Each arc is him sauntering off pointlessly to a new destination.Essentially, we're looking at a story with a decent concept and an author with no ability to follow through on it. If it gets better later, if there's any improvement later, then the author messed up by being too boring to hold attention.If the top comment's "Japanese Wuxia" doesn't read like a red flag to you, you're probably far gone enough to like this.
