I love it! It's a bit plot heavy than I expected. But the double substitute is very intriguing.

I actually dont get it 100% since ive just MTLed it. But it seems that it was interested in human modification to create the perfect being.

He's considered RANDOM's God because he's one of the subjects of gene modification and its only perfect product.

His mother got addicted to opiod and their life got messed up bec of it so she underwent gene modification but it failed but the effects were transferred to the MC.

Why all the secret about the MC's involvement with the 1st bf and why did they stop the investigation

Fu Kai arranged it to protect the MC. Because if they pursued the investigation, MC will come up as the primary suspect. So FK chose to hide all info abt them.

What's up with all the deaths surrounding the MC:

At one point this becomes a breaking point for him bec he feels like he's a god of plague. His mother left them, his father and grandfather died while his bro is in a coma. Then as the last straw, his 1st bf got stabbed in a seemingly random accident after he went to a shortcut after his call.

But the reality is RANDOM is arranging for these things to happen (except w the grandfather) to make the MC despair. They've developed a system that answers the butterfly effect and can make predictions of future events (to a certain extent). So they've arranged those accidents to kill the ppl around the MC.
