I read up all the way until chapter 43 and I honestly surprised I’ve read this far. The development is slow- which is valid however I cannot excuse the predictability nor the excitability of the development. From personal experience when I was reading the text and from what was seen in the comments, others and myself already knew what the ‘big’ reveal was going to be before anything substantial really happened. Predictability is okay- but when the readers can anticipate what will occur long before it happens and the development is prolonged, slow and truthfully: boring, we become fatigued and the excitement and spark that carries us to the end just disappears.Although some early-on reviewers have given it a good name, I’d have to disagree- the plot flow is a bit slow and clunky. I do agree with them that the initial intrigue is there but the text’s pacing wears down the audience over time with its slow and repetitive progression.
