so there is a girl called general Serena and so what happened is that Hiro (mc) was piloting his ship fighting for Serena (imperial military general basically from army of Empire) as a mercenary against these pirates and Serena ordered him to not deviate from his path while fighting pirates ships cuz he was in target range of their big military ships so if he deviate he will get friendly fire.. but he was already in the middle of enemy ships bombardment which will easily destroy his ship.. and he's like the best pilot with the best small ship in this world so he can maneuver himself out of enemy bombardment easily... but he follows the order literally to not get inflicted with friendly fire and got bombarded by pirate ships but then he ultimately ended up deflecting the attacks unknowingly because of his some sort of spiritual power aka magic (yes in a space fantasy) by using a world tree seed which he got from elves from his recent visit to a planet of elves... And even he didn't know about it very late until he asks about it to that seed or tree.. but then he got annoyed with Serena because her orders could have easily implicated his crew members in that bombardment and he confronts Serena to not only get an apology instead apologizing himself because he took her orders as literally and didn't think about her orders properly... Why because Serena is like potential future harem member as we readers assume and I think author just didn't want Hiro to think bad about her so he ended up taking all the fault on himself when that wasn't his mistake and it infuriated me so much but I held on... I think that was like a misexecution of plot and author knew he will create rift between Serena and Hiro so big just because he wanted to demonstrate that magic power..
And I think author probably got criticized alot so what he did is he writes snu snu scene with two of his crew members which author held on for so long just to write it in next chapter because I think he didn't want to lose his readers that much cuz seriously people were like so pissed after that Serena incident that some readers dropped this novel on the spot seeing MC as typical Jp beta MC.. but this scene really lost me my mind.. like I wouldn't have cared if author wrote this snu snu scene after 10 chapters of that incident but he wrote it in the next chapter just to save his novel really infuriated me to no avail... That's why I said he destroyed three characters because of his mistake one is Serena and other two are Hiro's crew members who ended up paying for author's mistake
